Japan, 1970s, During this period the country had a strict firearm regulations giving citizens a limited access to real steels, hindering realistic military training.
Then, when a photographer who is also an avid shooting enthusiast thought of making model guns that shoot real projectiles that couldn't kill, to address the needs of shooting enthusiast, the rise of then so called "Soft Air Guns" begun.
These replicas were created for the needs of shooting enthusiast but stricly following Japan's strict weapon control laws.
The name of that person is Mr. Ichiro Nagata, photographer, godfather of airsoft!
