WHAT TYPE OF GEL BLASTER ARE BEST FOR YOU?

 


Aside from the airsoft and paintball community, another community emerges, the gel blaster community that are gaining popularity now nationwide and even worldwide because of its friendly budget units and ammos. 
Like airsoft, there are also types of brands and unit  models that stands out and popular for its functions, durability, and also price. 
Here are some of the popular brands in gel blaster community that you may want to consider. I am only gonna share here a general knowledge from my experience and from my reasearch.

Brand: 
Bohan (BH), Tiangong (TG), and Senma are popular "hobby-grade' to mid-tier to high -tier gel blaster brands, often favored for their durability, performance and functionality at a reasonable prices or know as "budget meal" in the country. These 3 brands are most popular in the Philippines.
Brand Differences:
  • Bohan: Known for high-quality nylon construction, reliability, and good performance out of the box.
  • Tiangong: Known for being highly cost-effective, offering decent performance (around 250 FPS) and featuring metal gears in many of their newer models.
  • Senma: Often associated with durable, decent-performing, and affordable budget-friendly models.
1. Bohan Gel Blasters
Bohan is recognized for producing solid, reliable mid-tier to high-tier blasters.
  • Popular Models: Bohan SLR v1.2, Bohan MK8 v2, AR15 v2.
  • Construction: High-density nylon body, generally sturdy.
  • Performance: Often achieves around 250-260+ FPS, good for competition.
  • Features: Often includes blowback (metal plates), metal trigger, mag release, and fire selector.
  • Vibe: Considered more "durable" and "premium" than lower-end models.
2. Tiangong (TG) Gel Blasters
Tiangong is known for delivering high value for money, frequently offering features like metal gears and good FPS at lower price points.
  • Popular Models: TG ARP9 TAC, TG SLR, TG MCX.
  • Performance: Generally shoots around 250 FPS, often upgraded to 300+ FPS (with metal gears/modifications).
  • Gears: Many newer TG models come with metal gears, making them more durable than standard nylon-gear models.
  • Build: Good for beginners to intermediate, but some, like the TG ARP9, have proprietary parts, making external customization (like handguards) more challenging.
3. Senma Gel Blasters
Senma often falls into the budget-friendly category, focusing on providing functional, durable entry-level to mid-level blasters.
  • Performance: Reliable and capable for casual games and home plinking.
  • Build: Good quality ABS plastic construction best for the price. 

Which to Choose?
  • Choose Bohan if you want better out-of-the-box quality, durability, and a more "realistic" feel.
  • Choose Tiangong if you want the best performance for your budget, particularly with metal gears.
  • Choose Senma if you are looking for a reliable, cheaper alternative for recreational play.
