AIRSOFT COMMUNITY AND GAME TYPES

TYPES OF AIRSOFT GAMES

The airsoft community and game styles

✅MilSim (Military Simulation) or Skirmish: Players prioritize realism, wearing authentic military gear and engaging in long, tactical scenarios that mimic real-world operations.

✅ Airsoft Skirmish is mostly known for its tactical, team-based combat sport using replica firearms that shoot plastic BBs, offering a fun, strategic, and less intense alternative to MilSim, where players complete objectives like capture-the-flag or domination on themed fields, requiring gear, tactics, and safety adherence, with specific sites offering unique tech like wristbands for tracking scores and actions.

✅ CQB (Close Quarters Battle) airsoft is a fast-paced, indoor-focused style of airsoft emphasizing quick movement, room clearing, and tactical positioning in tight spaces, requiring agile, often shorter airsoft guns, bright flashlights, and rapid decision-making, differing from outdoor play by its intense, close-range engagements and focus on speed, surprise, and controlled aggression.

✅Speedsoft is a fast-paced, competitive style of airsoft that prioritizes speed, aggression, and athleticism over the realism of traditional airsoft, or milsim. It draws comparisons to paintball, with short, high-intensity matches often played in smaller indoor arenas. Players typically use minimal, lightweight gear and customized weapons like HPA-powered pistols and compact rifles.

✅Practical Shooting Airsoft also known as Action Air (or AIPSC), is a competitive target shooting sport that adapts the rules of the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) to airsoft replicas.

It combines the elements of precision, speed, and movement to test a competitor's shooting skills in a dynamic and safe sporting environment, without the constraints (cost, regulation, range requirements) of real firearms.
